Marina Software Developer Pacsoft targets China
NEW ZEALAND SOFTWARE HOUSE PACSOFT INTERNATIONAL IS DEVELOPING A CHINESE-LANGUAGE VERSION OF ITS MARINA MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE SYSTEM FOR DISTRIBUTION lN CHINA.
There are over 50 pacsoft users worldwide to date, and the latest to sign up is Abu Dhabi's Aldar Marinas, a multiple marina developer, who counts in its portfolio the new Yas Marina, centrepiece of the inaugural Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix will run soon. The Yas Marina installation integrates both security access and utilities management. Asia Representative for Pacsoft YP Loke (an Asia-Pacific Boating contributor) noted that Pacsoft is used in marinas in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. The introduction of the Chinese language version opens up the market for China's marina operators, allowing their management to improve their proficiency and professionalism. Loke noted that marinas in China often use management software from the hotel or resort industry but often not dedicated marina software. The PacsoftMMS software incorporates berth rental, accounting, haulout & boatyard services, and club membership. www.pacsoftmms.com
PacsoftMMS & Rolec Utility Interface
Improve Customer Service on Check-In and Out
Allocate, turn on and read utility meters while ‘checking-in’ your customer without leaving the front desk – efficient and professional service. Minimise delays for your customer’s electricity and water connections.
On ‘check-out’ take the final readings and turn-off the meters ensuring a quick trouble free and accurate final billing for departing customers – no need to wait for dockhands to attend the berth to read the meters – minimise errors and queries on the final billing and reduce the possibility of unbilled utility usage.
Reduce Utility Losses
By turning off utility meters when not allocated for customer use, ‘ghost’ usage and lost revenue with unauthorised utilities use by customers or contractors is minimised.
Flexibility
Provide options to sell visitors utility services by prepaid value to allow for short term stays or early morning departures for the last night in the marina. Utility billing based on metered usage, prepayment options, or daily or monthly billing.
Operational Efficiency and Accuracy
Read all utility meters in a few minutes without leaving the office – ideal for maximising month end billing efficiency. Automatically add the charges to the customer’s next invoice. Minimise reading errors, no keypunching errors. Staff can concentrate dock walk time on checking more important operational & safety tasks, and customer service activities. Minimise wasted office staff time handling customer queries and adjusting incorrect utility charges.
Automatically read meters overnight on a scheduled basis e.g. weekly or monthly as required. (c) Copyright Pacsoft Trust
